Alternatives for PreK-3 kiddos?

Ok, I’ll bite. How do you propose that the overcrowded (and already very large, 600+ students) ES schools in Ward 3 add PK3? Janney already cut a PK4 class due to needing the classroom space for older grades. It’s pretty short sighted to want free daycare for 1 year (esp since you can afford it living in Chevy Chase) vs. reasonable class sizes for older grades.

Oh, it's the bitter WOTP person.

Sorry, closing Ellington will never happen. Ever. Period.

Coolidge cost just as much will graduate the same number of students. Give it away instead. Ellington is too specialized. It won't happen.

Nobody cares about free daycare for upper middle class white kids who live west of the park. Why is this hard for you to understand?

And other people pay full DC taxes but can't get a grocery store in their Ward. Or access to public services. Somethings are unfair, even for you

Which ward in the city doesn't have a grocery store?

Shorter version: The DC government doesn't care about white kids. That's been true for decades. If you have a problem with that, vote for different people, or move out of DC.

NP. It was a slight exaggeration, but 2 wards are particularly underserved.

There are only 3 grocery stores in Wards 7 (has 2) and 8 (has 1). http://dcist.com/2017/06/report_wards_7_and_8.php
