we fly private, it’s better than commercial or driving.

So tell him to choose a perfume for you.

Although...some of the men in my family really do not care about stuff like this, so you'll just end up with whatever popped up on the Macy's website first.

I don't care enough about it. I was just commenting that it would be interesting to see what he chose if it was an actual choice. I'm not exactly crying about the fact that my husband didn't buy me perfume for my birthday.

Set a $ limit for birthdays. On your birthday you go out and get exactly what you want within that amount. Wrap it up and gift it to you. He gets to do the same for his birthday. Maybe sometimes he has been less than thrilled with what you got him, but said nothing. If you each buy exactly what you wish within set budget, no more guessing and disappointment.

I don't really like celebrating my birthday so he knows not to do anything big. He just makes a dinner he knows I'll like. I don't enjoy having a big fuss made over me.

Angel? Alien? Which one?

I hate perfume but it's a reasonable gift for someone who doesn't.

Mine still makes me mix tapes, though in 2018 they're playlists. He makes a themed playlist or two and buys me a few good books. Both of our birthdays are close to holidays so we almost always take the day off and have many hours of uninterrupted sex. That's the best possible present IMO.

Are you for real? Because this sounds incredible. And I would love a mixed tape (cd), books, and an interested husband.

Yes I'm for real and yes it's incredible. Neither of us is perfect but we both love music, books, and sex-- and have the same taste in all three.
