And has anyone ever went and talked or wrote an email to one saying something nice to one of them (I doubt it!). Only people complaining about something talks to Board members, and who wants to spend 20-30 hours a week listening to people who are complaining and/or mad at you?!?!

Yes, I did. I emailed my comments about a hot topic in our cluster. One of the BOE members responded with a simple "Thank you for sharing your opinion" message. I responded to that member saying how I had always appreciated his/her comments expressed during BOE meetings and I thought he/she understood issues from multiple perspectives.

Why would it be a secret who you wrote to? What are you hiding?

NP. Why would you think the PP is hiding anything? If PP named the board member, people would accuse her of shilling for a particular candidate.

Good e-mails not allowed on this forum? Goes with all the deletions.

WOW! Quite the assumption to make. Amazing that person’s opinion was actually newsworthy.

Sartucci is a full-on nutcase. I think MCPS BOE has a lot to improve (like their silence on the Rockville alleged rape case), but listening to Sartucci on anything is a recipe for disaster.

Jill Ortman-Fouse, who was seeking her first re-election to the Montgomery County Board of Education, has decided to forgo that seat, endorse the man who was seeking to challenge her and run instead for an at-large seat for County Council.

I thought there was a rule against current MCPS employees being on the BOE. Why would Robinson give up a higher paying job for a part time thing that pays way less?

Would anyone support her for county council? Does she stand a chance?

We need parents to run for these positions. Not wannabe politicians and not ex-MCPS administrators.

The filing deadline is Tuesday evening.
I’d support (give money to a campaign and hand out flyers) for people running against Docca or O’Neill. Time for fresh ideas. Ever watched a BOE meeting? All they do is congratulate each other and “kudos to staff”. We need someone who can hold the staff accountable for screw ups and represent all kids. Including special needs kids. Including gifted kids.

Have you considered running?

Judy Docca is running unopposed.
