Give me a chance to congratulate you and your kid

But more importantly than the anonymous brag, congrats to everyone who put 18 or more years of hard work in and now gets to see their kids dreams come true. Impressive results, and you should be so proud of your kids. And yourselves. Because every successful kid has a parent who has loved and supported them.

And equally huge congrats to kids who are going to less “name brand schools”. Every kid needs something different, and happy successful kids come out NOVA and CNU and JMU and Radford (where our amazing former babysitter was just accepted. She’ll go far in life).

Anyway, putting happy thoughts for you all into the universe— and hoping it helps my DCs when they go through this in 2 & 4 years.

Thank you!

My daughter: CWRU with a hefty scholarship!

Congratulations! Maybe you can use some of the money you are saving on tuition to splurge on some tickets to the 'new' Cleveland Ballet!

Congrats to all of you on your good news! This thread kind of makes me teary. We're anxiously awaiting some college decisions, and we'd love to have some of your good news in our house!

The plan is to make a visit to Cleveland filled with lots of culture, high and low.

DC got into Michigan. We were expecting a deferral and then hopefully an acceptance in the spring as the grades and ACT were strong but no where close to stellar. So relieved to have this good news in before the New Year. UVA and UNC Chapel Hill will be the next ones to come in but the tension for those acceptances is now minimal.

I love Marquette, my son decided on another school but that was my favorite.

That's great news. I would pick Michigan over the other two, but then I love serious winter weather.

Isn't it a great feeling to learn someone wants your kid?

Hi. Sorry. Let's keep this thread just light and filled with good cheer. There's another acceptance thread with stuff like that.

Partial scholarship to Mines (Colorado school of....). My kid worked hard in high school, and overcame a lot. So happy to see all the love from colleges.

(This is OP. Your turn to congratulate me!)
