At least these men are facing consequences now. The worst for me was after last ear’s election. I have family members who knew what I had gone through and also voted for Trump. That was extremely traumatic. I felt like they condoned that behavior.

You voted for Hillary?

My same exact thought.

She supports a woman who literally destroyed many of the women her husband sexually abused.

Hillary is a Pariah. Not a hero.

Even if that were true, does that make her worse than a man who assaulted women? Really?

It does.

Men are disgusting. We all know it, we aren't surprised when they do what is in their nature. We are still angered, but they are men, and that's what they do.

What she did was orders of magnitude worse.

OP! I am so sorry. I am also in a newsroom. Had harassment, but think I escaped most career damage. Yes! I feel like I can't even talk about it now. I do want to punch something. It is infuriating.

What a load of enabling BS. I hope you don't have sons and let them get away with the tired "boys will be boys" dismissive crap.

That's not enabling. It's acknowledging.

Men are jerks. They're going to do what comes natural to them. Prentending otherwise is stupid.

It also angers me to see these UGLY liberal men preying on everyone no matter what age. It angers me to see how f'd up so many people are. It angers me to see the cover ups. YEARS of cover ups.

Get ready though, the next one will rock the world. I hope.

Uh. Liberal and conservative men prey on women. But ok.

Yeah I mean if we can take anything away from the past year’s onslaught of revelations it’s that this is prevalent everywhere. I mean hello? Roy Moore?

At least the media is dealing with their issues.

OANN just did a report pointing out that one of the main accusers is a crooked ex-cop with sons who were drug dealers with an axe to grind against Moore.

Here's the video on the OANN report. The Roy Moore accusations are false. Only liberal men assault women.

Yes. Major issues. But that's because he's so angry about what happened to me and somewhat doesn't believe me that it wasn't consensual.

Whoa. I don't know where to start unpacking that one. Why does he think you left your job then?

I got a better job offer :/

It really sucks because he doesn't understand that when the CEO starts hitting on you and then assaults you it's hard to say no if you want to keep your job.

Were you together with your SO when the sexual harassment was going on?

Then we should be killing off all males, if it's innate and they can't help it.

Or we could teach boys and men to be responsible and control themselves. But if it's just the way they are, then let's kill them off, please.

Or we could medicate them.

If men are a public threat and danger to society with their lack of control and do "what comes natural to them," then yes - forced medication or castration.

But I suspect a lot of it comes from people like pp who enable these "natural" attitudes of boys will be boys, and brush off men being responsible for themselves.

25 years ago I worked at an ad agency in NY and a creative director basically told me that if I wanted his best work I would have to sleep with him. I was too polite and simply said no way but I should have reported him. When I told my DH he wanted to kill him. A few days ago I mentioned that old episode to my DH and he said he still wanted to kill him. The good news is that a few years later they guy was fired for sexual harassment.

As a senior who was laid off in my early 50s and can never really get back to where I was professionally or financially, I carry a lot of anger and sadness similar to what you must as well. You may say it is not the same, but it is. Who will deal with my issues? These is not going to be a senior uprising to take care of everyone who was fired after 40..

You are a white male and will never be considered to be a "protected class". Get a sex change and you might stand a chance.

You are clearly ignorant. Anyone older than 40 is in a protected class. And white males absolutely can sue if they are discriminated against bc of their gender or race. You do not know what you’re talking about.

+1 You can't be legally fired for your age after 40. In reality, of course there is some wiggle room for not hiring older workers, and I don't think it's easy to get a job in your 50s or 60s, but there are legal protections. What frustrates me is that people like this have had all the privileges and freedoms in the world for the past 50 years or so and now have a difficulty, and suddenly, the world needs to change for them when they were never out there trying to help change it for the people who didn't have the advantages they had when they were younger. That doesn't mean we don't need to look out for them now, but I'm only feeling very motivated to do so when I hear people say, "I've been discriminated against, too, and it sucks! Let's work together on this. No one should have to deal with this." Instead, it sounds a lot like, "I have it harder than you, and you're getting all the attention."

I'm totally fine with that.

Cloning and gene technology have rendered makes obsolete for reproduction. Many species sustain their numbers perfectly fine with females in various roles. The insect world is a perfect example. Only .1% of a bee or ant colony is male, and they are quickly eliminated after fertilizing the Queen. Medical science has now made it possible for every woman to be a queen, so males are superfluous.

The current population of males can be controlled through chemical means such as pharmaceutical castration, and new pregnancies can be genetically manipulated to only produce female embryos. So abortion would essentially be eliminated altogether, which will no doubt make the crazy bible thumping jeezus freaks happy.

There really is no downside. Conflict, war and aggression would be eliminated worldwide

Get over yourself, loser.

I’m sure you would have been equally triggered by a vote for Hillary, right? She has happily shamed her husband’s many victims.
