You've just shown your age, how naive you are, and how little you know on an intellectual level. Here's the thing: when you have a homogenous society and a small nation, socialism can work, though there are some significant flaws. For instance, you will not live nearly as well as you could here if you are one of the producers, but not one of the elites in government. Which is why so many Europeans COME here to begin with. Now, we've seen a huge influx of refugees into Europe and a subsequent increase in crime. Enough to alarm other European countries into locking down their borders. You will NOW see socialism begin to falter and fail, as the takers start to overwhelm the makers. In fact, you've seen some of that in Greece and Italy prior because of their OWN takers.

The high school I used to teach at in Manassas is 80% minority.

Manassas schools have high FARMS rate means poor areas - and those are the voters go for the person who will give them the most free stuff. That means Democrats.

Yes, I'm aware of this. Local officials are notified of illegal immigrants (who self-identify as a reason to get out of jury duty) and forward the info to election officials, asking they be remove from the voting rolls. These officials, in their quest to get Democrats elected and knowing how illegals vote, refuse to do so.

As the illegal population swells in NoVa, thanks to the welcome mat, and they continue to be allowed to vote, they will vote for more dependency programs - and VA will become another California. And you elitist liberals with high incomes will become the ever-shrinking "providing" minority supporting the ever-expanding "taking" majority.

Actually this was exactly his thinking. He says that if you are left of Barry Goldwater, the right will call you a socialist. So he just embraced it 100% instead of acting like it was a shameful label to be avoided.
