Why does Kayla want to come? I wouldn't say yes to invite to a an ex's family events. Janet and Kayla are having an tryst.

We've gone trick or treating as a group since nephew was born 4 years ago. This is the first year she's invited Kayla but it doesn't surprise me. I don't know what's going on with Janet but she text DH yesterday asking him to crawl in her fireplace and clean out her chimney. She's been asking him to do her bidding the past week and a half. DH still wants to go with nephew because we got DD a costume that goes with nephew. I don't want to go. |

Honestly at first I thought she was just lonely. I'm not a jealous person and I trust me my DH 100 percent. It wasn't until Janet came out and said that i needed to get over Kayla being family that I caught on. Janet is intentionally pushing my buttons and I'm so over it. |

OP, it sounds like Janet moved on from trying to annoy you with Kayla's presence to moving on to annoying her newly engaged SIL (or sister? or BIL? I'm so confused) Emily. Didn't she get back together with Kayla when her BIL broke up with Kayla and got engaged to Emily?
I'd say she moved on to them and you should just ignore it. But honestly, sounds like this has been going on for years, right? Can't you be nice to kayla? Enjoy her company and just think of her as another one of Janet's friends? how would you treat Larla if all of a sudden Janet became friends with Larla and brought her to Xmas, Halloween, etc.? Just try to treat Kayla like that since it's obvious that both your DH AND Kayla moved on from their relationship years ago. |

Yes and it was lovely! It was DD's first time trick or treating and it was drama free. |
