Do you take the call or let it go to voicemail?

YIKES, I'm waiting for the call and don't know if I should pick up. I tested at 11days past 3 day transfer and it was negative. The nurse this morning said that is a little early for testing, but didn't get my hopes up.

Will the Drs at Dominion really leave a voicemail that it's negative? Or will they just say, call me??

I'm feeling a hot flash coming on....

This is what I have noticed at my clinic. if they call early in the day it is bad news. If they call later it is good news. The reason being if it is bad news there is nothing for the doctor to review.

Well, my call was late in the day AND it was bad news. (Shady Grove)
It was from the nurse, not the doctor, and she left it on my voicemail. To be fair, though, it was a natural cycle that turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, so I did not expect the doctor to call me since she wasn't even treating me that cycle!

huh, interesting! I found the opposite to be true in my experience with 3 IVF cycles. On my last (positive) the nurse called the minute she got the results because she "wanted to let me know ASAP".
FWIW, I'm at SG. I probably differs by nurse and by day.

I am at SGF and got the call early (a little after 1 p.m.) and it was negative. I had them call my husband and I'm glad I did; it was better to hear it from him. The nurse called with the beta results and the RE called me the next day to discuss.

just wanted to throw my 2 cents in, i always plan to let it go to voicemail, but i always get my period the day before or the day of my blood test. i am still required to go in and get my blood test, but i just let them know that i know it's negative so please don't bother calling. they have been pretty good about it, just once someone called me and left me a message by mistake.
