Is it? I don't count calories, but looking back, the Amy's meal alone has over 450 calories, the yogurt alone has 200, and the salad has cheese, beans,, etc. in it. I'm honestly not feeling hungry for more food, if I were, I would go ahead and eat it. |
Damn, I'm lean but no way I could eat like this daily, but Maybe it's all the running around after your kids. |
I'm 5'3 and 113-115 but trying to get back down to 110 which is happening slowly.
Here's what I ate yesterday- Breakfast - I don't eat breakfast Lunch - baguette sandwich and cookie Dinner - sweetgreen salad I walk at least 2 miles daily and sometimes closer to 5. I try and stay away from processed/packaged foods and don't drink Diet Coke. I don't believe in snacking. I've been hanging on the weight mainly because I overly indulge on the weekends. Think a huge meal both Friday and Saturday nights with drinks and even dessert. I am going to stop this. |
Yeah, I'm a SAHM and my kids are under 5. Most days I barely sit from 6 am till 7:30. I've always been naturally lean but since having kids it's been crazy how thin is get if I didn't consciously try to consume more calories! |
Your kids don't take naps? You're doing it wrong if you're a SAHM and barely sitting from 6-7:30. |
This is my dream lifestyle. Sigh. |
I've always been super thin and I eat whatever I want. These days I don't exercise but I am a SAHM to multiple small children so I do a lot of running around after them. I'm at nearly my highest adult weight at 5'8' 130ish. 32 years old. |
I'm cracking up. Clearly you've never been a stay at home mom! |
Well I'm home two days a week with my child and I am definitely not running around all day. It's not that much work. |
New poster but I'm laughing too. My kids stopped napping around age 3/4, and with a spread of multiple kids up to age 10, I'm busy from 6 till about 8/8:30 at night if the older ones have sports after school. That includes a workout while the little one is in preschool aka me time from 9-11:25 followed by a grocery run or walk of the dog. Yup, the running around keeps me thin! |
That's okay honey. |
One kid? |
Agree! I'm always moving. And then, I wonder if that is a difference between "naturally" overweight and "naturally" skinny people. I don't sit around, although to be honest I probably could. But I like to garden and do house projects myself so my body is moving. I like it this way. My best friend is obese and she sits. She has no idea how immobile she is compared to the people she says are just naturally thin. She asks her children to do everything for her: To get her a drink from the kitchen instead of doing it herself. She her 4 year old go upstairs to fetch items I would just do myself. Don't get me wrong, kids need chores but they're not my personal worker bees. Sedentary life plus constant snacking add up, and people just assume that they're genetically predisposed one way or another. |
So you're choosing to keep moving while your children attend preschool or attend sports. However, it's not a requirement of a SAHM. You also could have groceries delivered. You're choosing to live a hectic life. It has nothing to do with being a SAHM. |
Can you define your weight for "thin?" Per height? You have 150lbs 5'9" person saying they are thin? Not in my opinion. Hence without knowing what thin means to you, how can anybody answer? Is 5'4" that weighs 120lbs thin in your opinion? Or should they be under 110lbs or even less?
