Do you take your tween/teen phone at night ?

+1. I might reconsider if they seemed to be having some sort of behavior issue that might be linked to the phone, but thus far I have not taken any of my kids' phones at night.

I don't take it, but he plugs it into the charger station before going to bed. We've never had a problem with fights/tantrums when it comes to devices, so we let him self-monitor. I know this is often not the case.

All phones go in charges downstairs at night. No electronic devices upstairs. I am the alarm clock - so far. Hope to transition to phone as alarm clock - someday.

Maybe because when you were younger you did not learn how to just put it in the charger and not reach for it.

Our kids are learning that early and one of the main reasons I don't take it. It's a learned habit.

Ha! It's more than that. Just go on Periscope late at night and see tweets/teens flashing and exposing their genitalia to hundreds is followers.

Phone always gets plugged in downstairs at 9 p.m.

No, I disagree. You can see if a television is on when they should be asleep. You can hear a voice if they are talking on the land line phone. It’s way too easy for them to be under the covers texting and using social media when they should be sleeping.

NP. This is just flat-out bullshit.

My kids (12 and 11) don't have them, but if they did I totally would.

What parental app?

Ourpact and I meant to say - punish him.

I fall asleep with the phone, don't see any problems with that

My DD plugs her phone in the kitchen at about 9 each night. She's 12. There are plenty of her peers who sleep with their phones. I know because she sometimes gets texts from then a 10, 10:30, 11 and later on school nights! I'm sure their parents think they are sleeping....

Not all parents care or have early bedtime
