+1 Great analogy. And I hate yippy dogs.

This is so true. I teach middle school and the short boys are the whiny criers. The tall boys are always the alpha and commamd respect. They just have a presence.

Don't be. Plenty of women don't care and it's not like you want him marrying someone as mean as some of these posters.

I like short men about as much as men like fat women.

I love shorter men. I never dated a tall man. Maybe because my mother is taller than my father? She is 5'9" he is 5'8".
I'm shorter than my DH but not by much.

I'm 5'6", I like that my DH is 5"10". He makes for a wonderful dance partner.

He needs to be a few inches taller than me. If the same height, he needs to have an extra inch or two down below. But I really like the former.

A taller man isn't going to "stop taking care of himself" and become shorter.
But lots of previously think women, after marriage, become fat.
Grounds for instant divorce?

This same topic comes up every few years and it used to make me sad too, since my DS is short. But you know what, DH is short and he found himself an awesome wife (me!) and I don't doubt my son will too. DS may be short, but he's handsome, smart, sweet and athletic. And being tall is nice but height isn't anything that anyone can control, so what's the point in fretting about it? Threads like this invite meanness. The mean PPs don't represent everyone so try not too take it to heart.

I am not likely to date someone I didnçt know who was short. I had a 5'8" long term boyfriend, but I met him and we fell for each other before the first date. I am 5'10". He had an issue with me wearing heels, which still affects me years later. If I can't wear heels with someone, I won't date them. Even though I rarely wear them anymore.

Now I think really tall men are kind of icky. Like large adult sons.

I guess tastes can change.

Equal to our slightly taller than me so I can wear short heals. But as men will say, they are all the same height in bed.

Short men are creepy and gross. If they're masculine, they look like trolls. If they're metrosexual, they look like trans men. Either way, totally unhot
