The residents in Ward 5 were actually discussing a way to get him out before the next election. He ignores Ward 5. He would make a horrible mayor, he is only interested in ex-cons. He would run the city back into the 1980's.

Come on. The program that he suggested has actually been VERY successful in California. So successful that it on This American Life on NPR. I just moved to Ward 5 and given the crime, you need to do something b/c what you have isn't working.

What we have and have had is Kenyon McDuffie!! He is what's not working! He cares more about making a name for himself in every other ward and has no time to address the issues in his own ward. He is unresponsive and unseen. He has lost my vote already.

Community policing, neighborhood watch, take advantage of the free security cameras DC will pay for you to install, pick up trash etc. And ask for the youth reformation act to be itself reformed. That vote was this week. What happened on it? Paying criminals to not reoffend is not the answer, though I support jobs programs. There is a Lot of gum on the sidewalk that can be cleaned, snow shoveled etc. Earning some money for ex cons while they take classes and move to gainful employment. What they really should do is open and run a coop grocery store in a good desert area. No one would dare shoplift!

Don't expect a qualified person to be elected while D.C.'s rate of adult illiteracy hovers around 36%.
