What is it like dating a Marine?

I dated a marine before I was married. He was very handsome, so very masculine, smart and funny. All real turn ons. The sex was great! But your career and wants and needs will always be second to the MARINES. He was very dedicated to them, and they demanded absolute sacrifice from both of you as a couple. While I was dating him, he was never deployed but moved around the country something like 3 times in the year we dated. It was tough long distance wise. It didn't work out - too much strain on the relationship - but it sure was fun while it lasted. Enjoy it for now, but I could never commit to that lifestyle forever.

Also, I do think there is a difference between the enlisted and officers. I dated an officer so maybe your experience will be different.
