LOL. Love DCUM. Nobody better ever ask a question. Or else! Who TF cares why she wants to know. The question is, asshole, why you care. Go pick on some little kids. |
Yet you care enough to post about it, with two question marks? Use all caps next time, finger wagger. Seriously??

| Sexy and conservative. Total meaheads who like to get down. |
And WTF is your issue? That time of the month?? |
You must be the same idiot who responded 19:01. |

Higher likelyhood of domestic abuse or date rape. Higher incidence of alcohol abuse. More racist than the average male. FAR more sexist. Also homophobic and Islamaphobic, too. They are not as connected with their feelings or emotions as other men, and are prone to fits of anger or violence. They are also far less educated than most men who chose to go to college rather than become essentially paid killers for the military industrial complex.
But you go right ahead. I'm sure you'll meet the ONE soldier who doesn't fit the mold. |
Nope. |
I got to know two retired (but still young at the time) Marines who worked as security for a VIP I worked for over 2.5 years. They are among the nicest, smartest, most selfless and most capable people I've ever met. One was from a K-9 unit. When he retired, he had to leave his (working) dog behind. The dog stopped eating and drinking, until two weeks later, they called him and said: "You can take her home. She won't work with anyone else." Those of you who know dogs know they don't tend to get attached to jerks. We've lost touch but I hope they are both well. Since meeting them, I've never thought about members of the military the same way. If these two ex-Marines are any indication, they deserve our utmost respect. And yes, they were both also in great shape! Date away

| I've only known one smart Marine. |
Agreed. He might be out there somewhere.... maybe. But you're not going to meet him. They're all like the post above |
|
I dated a marine back in the 90s (yeah, I'm old AF). He was hot, the sex was good. He went to Somalia and came back really F-ed up. He shot a kid, he hurt some people, saw some friends die,, he saw some bad shit. He was there for that Black Hawk down period (I can't believe Hollywood made that into a movie, assholes).
We broke up shortly after he came home, he spent a lot of time in therapy. Now is married to a nice woman and sells cars. |
+1 rapists and cheaters |
|
I dated a former Marine officer after my divorce.
He is HOT and fit in his forties. I would describe him as brilliant, brave (seriously), loyal, disciplined, and hard working. And he is hilariously funny. Things didn't work out for us because of timing and because we lived far away from each other. But I still adore him. I would date a Marine again - if nothing else, because they are some of the most handsome guys in the world.

Are you 16? I can't believe an adult woman says stuff like this. Grow up, Cinderella. They're not Prince Charming. They're brutish, uneducated, unsophisticated, anachronistic killers. Learn what a real man is like. |
A real man? You mean like the "guys" wearing tight pants strolling around DC? Trust me, Marines aren't interested in sloppy DC shrews. A lot of them are like 19, so what kind of education do you want them to have. Every officer I have met has at least a bachelor's degree. Sometimes I think people are threatened by guys like this because they know they wouldn't make it through their training. I'm glad these guys are protecting us and not those girly men you see in DC. |
