Your suggestion that voters can't really have any insight into Grisafe's thinking, even though the GOP endorsed him in late June, probably helps explain why he lost by such an overwhelming margin. If you don't really show your hand, but rely on support from the likes of Elizabeth Schultz and Resistance Media, it's not going to end well.

Oh, please. I am a conservative and I never heard about Resistance Media until someone wrote about it on here and played dirty politics. That was unfair mudslinging--are you the one who did it? You should be ashamed of yourself. In fact, I wonder if that twitter account was created by one of the bluevirginia people. They sure jumped on it fast.

And, that is what is wrong here. Really low class to accuse someone of racism who is clearly not a racist.

It would have been easy enough to disavow the support of an anti-semitic, white supremacist who photoshopped a picture of Grisafe with Pepe the Frog. As far as I know, no such disavowal took place.

You can keep whining, but such a resounding defeat really ought to prompt introspection on the part of the Fairfax GOP as to why they lost so badly.

He actually did disavow it if you watched the debate. And, FWIW, how was he supposed to know about it if he wasn't following Resistance Media?

That was a dirty attack and you know it.

Which debate? I understand he showed up 45 minutes late for at least one of them.

Anyway, what probably hurt him most was voters' anger at the Republicans triggering this unnecessary special election. What a bunch of hacks.

The forum in McLean with the League of Women Voters. The one where K-G claimed he was spouting "fake news" when he said she supported taxing authority. Of course, she does and it says so on the Dem website.

She's got degrees from Tulane and Washington University, and she's smart enough to know when her statements have been mischaracterized. Maybe next time, if there is a next time, he won't try to pick fights with someone with more brains.

So, are you saying the questions and answers posted by the Fairfax Democrats were lies? Because, that is where it is documented. Here's a little hint: degrees do not confer honesty.

But, face it, she is likely an honest woman--but, she had that soundbite ready and wanted to use it. It didn't matter that what he said was not fake.

Apparently tranny bathroom, changing school names, diversity and paying for illegal after school programs is the most important to fcps. Don't complain when nothing is done to reduce class sizes or increase education quality.

The school is involved in more social issues vs education no wonder all the schools except for a handful are going down the toilet.

This is the bitter, woe-is-me attitude so prevalent among the Republican losers, a declining population in NoVa. They may keep their Tiki torches on their decks, but at the slightest provocation their nastiness emerges.

That's like saying all the Fairfax Dems wear dark clothing, masks, and carry clubs.

As long as you equate Republicans with the "tiki torches" you will not win national elections.

Every precinct but one in McLean voted for Keys-Gamarra. That indicates continued support for providing extra resources in the pyramids where there are greater needs, even if means larger class sizes in McLean and Great Falls.

That's very different from the approach favored by Grisafe and other Republicans, which would be to cut spending and programs in the poorest areas and spend more money in wealthy pyramids like Langley.

As long as your Republican president and local Republican candidates refuse to repudiate fascists in stronger terms, Virginia will become increasingly blue.

As noted, Grisafe's share of the electorate (@ 35%) was in line with Drumpf's sad approval ratings.

Are you talking about balancing class size? The federal government gives extra money for that. So does Fairfax County. There is a common sense balance that is not being met. It's one thing to have classes of 16 in a Title I class and 25 in an affluent school. It is quite another to have 30+ in an affluent school. That is not common sense.

If the Langley Republicans want smaller classes, they should ask for redistricting that would add more low income kids to their pyramid.
