Yes, this explains why most physicians are black or Latino.

This is because there are not that many applicants from these backgrounds. But, the ones who do apply have a very high rate of acceptance, even with very low GPA (even under 3.0) and MCAT scores (in the 20s under the old grading system). Meanwhile, accepted white and Asian students generally have GPAs around 3.6-3.7 and MCATs over 30.

True. I worked in the medical school admissions field, and blacks with a 3.0 had a decent shot of getting accepted. A white kid? Not a chance in hell.
