My parents got married when she was 18 and he was 19. She had me a year later at 19. I was their only child. They were married 37 years and separated a few years ago but haven't officially divorced yet.

People still mistake us for sisters. Have always been super-close to my mom. My dad is a douche.

I had my first at 26 - unplanned at that - but we made the best of it and life is good. 30+ years ago those ages were not young. I think maybe you are projecting or making excuses.

Yes. Because if they don't think like you they must be wrong. Maybe baby making delayed your brain development.

Mom 23, Dad, 25. My mom is forever telling me how amazing she was becoming a mom at such a young age 'Rolls eyes.'
I am 32 and don't want children.

My mom was 23 and my dad was 29 when I was born. This was 1968, and I was their first.

But my maternal grandparents were 40 (gma) and 52 (gpa) when my mom was born in 1944. (She was their second - my uncle was born in 1942.)

They made the best of it. They're still married 47 years later.

My mom still says she was too young when she married and has kids and is glad it's "okay " for women to be 30 when she marries and has kids these days.

That's an outlier for their generation. Did they have trouble getting pregnant, stillbirths and miscarriages?
