My husband is so inconsiderate

My husband can be a jerk, too. He is currently not working to pass the next level of his professional exams. Since his work is commission based he is for all intents and purposes, unemployed. Meanwhile, he complains about how we haven't had a "just us" vacation and wants to go to China... I'm not down with being the only breadwinner and spending a bundle on a China trip... Not in the cards right now.

Research takes my DH way more time than teaching, FWIW.

OP, I have this issue a bit in that my DH's classes are always scheduled from 3-5 a few days a week. This makes it impossible for him to get our kids from school/daycare if I am sick. I have asked him to ask to move to a different slot but he won't push back about this issue. I think he doesn't want to burn goodwill.

Is totally DH tenured? My best friend is in a biology dept that absolutely requires these hours, including the weekend hours. Her life sucks but it is not really her fault and nothing she can do. Maybe talk to him about looking subtly for a transfer if this is the case.

It's obvious that he's avoiding parenting a challenging 16 m o. Is he from a culture where women are expected to.raise thekids?

If only this would work. My son wants to be out and moving constantly. He recently started walking and he's so excited to be outside walking around. We live in the Deep South. It's hard to be out in this heat. I've tried videos but he's not into it. He also doesn't care for toys.

OP, what about a little swimming class or some baby pool time for your son?

It's warm here in DC as well and the condo pool where I live is very popular with the SAHM's and toddlers.

If his mornings are free, leave the baby with him and go to the gym then.

I have no idea. He goes to work all day on weekends too!

Bow chica bow wow.

Let him run around the mall!

Throw one of this leashes on him with the cute bear as a backpack and let him run for days!

The malls open super early to accommodate mall workers (6am in some areas) & let him run to his hearts content.
You'll both get in good exercise, he'll have visual stimulation all day AND you'll be in air conditioning.

What more is there?
