If only this would work. My son wants to be out and moving constantly. He recently started walking and he's so excited to be outside walking around. We live in the Deep South. It's hard to be out in this heat. I've tried videos but he's not into it. He also doesn't care for toys.

Not OP, but there are people like this. My husband left me during all alone during my difficult first labour to go home, have a leisurely dinner and do whatever. I was in no position to complain, but boy, did he get it when I recovered.
He has Asperger's tendencies and sometimes doesn't understand non-verbal cues and how to read a situation and respond appropriately. Also an academic. I suspect many academics are like this.

I don't think so but I guess you never know. He's very shy and bookish. He answers the phone right away whenever I call him.
