How many days after conception can you get a BFP?

Omg OP I would switch asap. Any good dr would follow up on 1 week for a pregnancy that isn't matching up with dates. I mean really. Sure it won't change the outcome but it could help you make important medical decisions and give peace of mind. If they're this dismissive now I would absolutely not go another 9 months with them!!

I completely agree! When the measurements on the sonogram weren't matching up with your LMP, that should have prompted questions from your doctor about when you conceived. Everything might be fine (and I certainly hope it is), but a baby measuring off by a week or more at that early stage definitely warrants a follow up sono in a week or so. Your concerns are legitimate, OP, and should be treated that way.

+1 to this. He was my OB for my first baby. We moved out of DC, or I would have gone back! I loved him.

OP here - I finally received a call back from a patient coordinator at RHNJ and she scheduled a second sonogram for me next Friday, June 30. I'll keep you all posted, and try my best to not stress too much in the meantime.

(And I'm still planning on going elsewhere if this second sonogram is good news - turns out I need some hand-holding!)

Wow. This is why I didn't do a dating ultrasound, nor did my CNM recommend it. Talk about anxiety...

Glad you are getting in next week for an ultrasound and that you have an appointment with DeSouza in a few weeks. Hope everything turns out all right!

Reiter Hill is the worst. I switched from them to Capital women's care and was much happier.

Bridges is great. I was with Foxhall and switched to him.

I also knew exactly when we conceived and was given a later due date based on the fetal size. Everything turned out totally fine and my baby is a child now. I think dating is really tricky. Try not to worry and enjoy your excitement! And try to get in with Bridges. He's not an alarmist at all.

OP, I don't want to upset you, but my last pregnancy measured a week behind, and while it did continue we found out late in the game that there were problems. I would also recommend that you be watched closely, and do a CVS test to check for any chromosomal issues.

I mean, you know your body, and if you're prone to ovulating late, this could be nothing. But having been there, I would hate for someone else to suffer needlessly like I did.

Wishing you the very very best. I switched to DeSouza after a terrible experience with Reiter & Hill; he is wonderful.

OP here with an update. I had my follow up ultrasound today. As a reminder, last Wednesday I was measuring 6 weeks 1 day, which I was pretty sure was off by a week or so. Well, today, one week and 2 days later, I measured 8 weeks 2 days, with a fetal heart rate of 172 bpm. HUGE thank you to everyone who encouraged me to insist on a follow up ultrasound - I feel much much better!

Yay! You must feel on top of the world! And I'm just 3 days ahead of you and heard the heart this week too.

Awesome Op! So happy for you!
