I guarantee that I look like Catherine Zeta Jones in "Zorro" Gimme $4000 |
I bought a Goldendoodle from them 4 years ago. I had just lost a dog and a cat in the same week. I didn't check them out like I should. He came with Giardia, dental issues etc. We found out later he was from a puppy mill. No question. They wanted us to send him back. We love him dearly and he is our world. But, never again would I get a puppy from them again. |
I was a breeder for several years of Yorkshire terriers. Never have I seen prices like this except for best of show!these people are just ripping people off and if you buy from them you are just encouraging more of it! |
honestly puppy spot is way to expensive. I mean 4000 for a mutt?? come on. And also puppy spot doesn't even provide pictures of the parents. there should be atleast two or three pictures of the puppy with the parents and i heard you had to pay a deposit just to hear more about the breeder. i mean some of the dogs on there are really cute and i do want this one dog but i don't think she's 3000 dollars cute |
and i can find dogs on different websites that have better genes then the dogs on puppy spot for a cheaper price |
Every heard of.... LIES? |
Just for kicks I looked at poodles. All the poodles are listed simply as poodle. There are three recognized breeds of poodles. Standard, miniature, toy. They were not mentioned on the cover page just a bunch of pictures with the simple word poodle. this site obviously gets the pups from puppy mills |
+1 |
Most reputable breeders would not sell their dogs through a puppy site. In fact, if you want a puppy from a good breeder, you will most likely be put on a waiting list. |
Boycott all Animal Rescue, Animal Shelters and stop donation.
Pricey pups will go down and that's a fact! |
Quick note.
Animal Shelters and Animal Rescue are just like the scammers! Just want your donation. |
Hah, when I was a teenager I remember Petco assuring me their dogs came from a "Farm in North Carolina" and not puppy mills. My grandma used to breed registered Goldens (like one litter every 5 years). If you're getting a dog from a breeder, what you want is a situation where you go meet the mom and puppies and see where they're being raised, weeks before getting the dog and then come back to get the puppy after they're old enough to be separated. The breeder should be asking questions about your home setup. |
Ref the above post. You should meet the dad too. Sometimes the male dogs are kept in appalling conditions too as they are schlupped from breeder to breeder. |
True. My grandma didn't keep unfixed males around, although a few cases the male was the pet of someone she knew (but she did the thing properly with genetic checks). It's definitely harder to arrange to meet the dad. But at a minimum you should meet the mom. My grandma only did one litter per female but it's a huge red flag if the female has been bred more than 4 times. |
I honestly feel like I’m going to throw up after reading this. |
