It's more involved than that. As far as I can tell Trinity Schools Incorporated threatened civil and criminal legal action against several People of Praise members and staff. In response, People of Praise has cut ties with Trinity Schools at its South Bend campus and supported the creation of a new, independent school, Trinity Academy at Greenlawn, led by local parents, alumni, and faculty, with POP’s formal backing. A similar break happened here in Virginia, where Trinity Academy at Meadow View was formed by people connected to the local POP branch, though without the same level of public support from the POP Board. Both schools aim to continue the Trinity mission outside TSI’s control, signaling a major governance and identity shift driven by legal conflict and internal division. source: https://www.reddit.com/r/SouthBend/comments/1k3xjng/trinity_school_splitting_in_two tl;dr it's a "new" school with the same shit and location, but more People of Praise affiliated and less TSI affiliated. People of Praise is a small, religious cult. |
Nevermind what I said here, I think it's actually the opposite, it's may be less associated with People of Praise as an official entity, it's all very confusing. |
| Yea, after reviewing tons of drama I think the new school is more TSI affiliated and less People of Praise affiliated? If I'm wrong please correct me. |

Just dropping this here
"The FBI has interviewed several individuals who have alleged they were abused by members of the People of Praise (PoP), a secretive Christian sect that counts conservative supreme court justice Amy Coney Barrett as a lifelong member, according to sources familiar with the matter." https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/oct/03/fbi-people-of-praise-amy-coney-barrett-faith-group-abuse-allegations?utm_source=chatgpt.com |
I thought this was already known, and looking at the date on the article I think I'm right. Definitely not defending the abusers, but anyone whose looking at this school should have already found this info. I'm not affiliated with it in any way. |
| Very confusing thread. |
Hahahaha uh no |
Neither is good Who in their right mind considers this garbage for their kids ? Simple google search not academic not safe |
What’s confusing? OP posted to pump up he4 cult of a school for religious zealots that has a horrible history and people set her straight |
| The "new" school at the same location doesn't exactly distance from People of Praise. In fact, it's one of the only things they mention in their new "About" page.... going on about their ties to People of Praise |
Anyone have any info on what happened? Their "about us" info doesn't really explain the closure and name change. They're still affiliated with People of Praise.
|
I don't read that as a continued relationship but more of a piece of the history of the origin of the school. It sounds like they have parted ways but don't want to burn the house down on the way out. |
| I have read the whole thread. Either some people are making up answers or the situation is confusing. Regardless, I wish them luck. |
According to their faculty page, all their top faculty except for the Dean of Girls were Trinity School at Meadow View faculty for decades. I don't see much change. I'd prefer they actually distance from People of Praise on their website if this really is going to be a break, which it is not clear at all. |
