Can we make a whites only school

How was their first year?
Hoping for success. Sounded like a good idea to me and I am a white mom of 3 girls who has taught in dips title 1 elementary schools.
Positive strong clear guidance for kids who are at risk seems like a fantastic start.

Just stop already. The school is not only for black and brown boys. They even took away the namebut even when the name was going to be boys of color, they weren't going to exclude anyone from any race. Yes, boys of color is a target population just like low income Hispanics was LAMB's focus and target. Ron Brown allows and admits Caucasian boys. Your outrage is a big nothing burger. In fact, my friend's white son entered lottery for Ron Brown but ended up getting accepted to Ellington.

Also if you read the Post story from Feb, it says that girls (of any race or ethnicity) who get in via the lottery can attend.

For as smart as people on this board pretend to be, some of them have a hard time with reading comprehension and research.

Again where are these school that only accept young men on color? The school is not exclusionary if its open for all to apply in the lottery. The point is that if ppl have a problem with Ron Brown then why not a problem with Yu Ying? But ppl on here are clamouring to go to YY. Language imersion program encourage families to apply that can support it at home while of course this not a requirement to attend but what are the races of ppl the speak Mandarin at home? By the way I think schools like YY and Ron Brown are great and constitutional!

That is the school and it is not limited to black boys. Any boy's family can apply. White families would NEVER apply to this school given its location and so far all black population.
