If you work FT, how are you handling child care on June 15 and 16 (DCPS no school days)?

I'm in same boat, but we just found this option:

Dear Parents of 5 & 6 year olds,

Hope this email finds you doing well. We heard that some parents need help before camps get started, so we've created camp on Thursday June 15 & 16 for your kids!

Camp with CityDance POP! for 5 & 6 year olds - Thursday June 15 & Friday June 16
4435 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20852
9:00-3:00pm Camp $150

3:00-5:00pm Aftercare $50

Start your summer with CityDance POP for two days filled with dancing, crafting and fun!

Email ivy@citydance.net for individual day enrollment.

Thanks,

This is great! We don't need coverage those days, but just want to say that my then 4yo took a hip hop class at the Wisconsin Ave. location last spring 2016--she enjoyed it!

These two days were supposed to be snow days so if we had snow this winter the school year would have ended on Friday with most camps starting the following Monday. I wasn't prepared to factor climate change into child care, I will certainly take it into account in the future.

Which means, of course, that next year there will be like 11 snow days and they will try to push school into July.

You can't win.
