I don't understand. Prime lets you give it to 3 or 4 other people. They have their own log in, use their own credit card, and their own shipping address. How can this not be what Amazon intended? |
| Stealing. If you don't want to pay for entertainment get a library card... it's what we do. We get a movie weekly (though we could get many more if we wanted) and have access to enough books to last a lifetime. Plus, the more the library is used, the more funding it gets, therefore you help ensure others have access to these resources too. |
+ 1. People that don't agree with this are called Sheepies. They will drop their pants and bend over, because that's the law. |

Way to bring out the pearl-clutchers in force, OP.
Not a big deal. I think the vast majority of cord-cutters are doing this. Get with the times, PPs. |
Ha ha ha! Haven't heard that term in a long time! I was expecting a bunch of "me-too"s or "about time" comments. Instead, it seems like at least half the crowd likes to be told what to do and follow that without applying common sense. |
stealing/not stealing is nowhere close to 50:50. more like 75:25. |

Are you suggesting that if these companies all of a sudden had a lot more paying customers they would lower prices? Is that how the world works: Increased demand leads to lower prices? |
Not fair! You stole the words out of my mouth. As OP, I get first dibs .
Marketing 101: Pricing is determined by the market, not by cost. If HBO had a real competitor HBO will be going for $7.99. No competition, price gouging. Netflix had 7.5m customers in 2007; They had 94m customers in 2016. Guess what, their price has gone up, not down. By your logic, they should be charging, like 50 cents. |
So because other people or companies don't 'need' the money, its OK for you to take the service. If your neighbor has 3 cars and only needs 2, it's OK for you to walk in his house and grab the keys anytime you want. If you company orders a few extra laptops as loaners - go help yourself. Specifically to the cable, everybody wants to talk big and 'cut the cord' yet you cheat and steal to get the service. You want the service badly enough to commit a crime, you just don't want to pay for it. The best part about this post is insulting the people who pay for what they use by calling them sheepies. Nice. This is all pretty disgusting to me. |
Not the same. If my neighbor leaves the keys in his car with a full gas tank on the street and I notice others using it, why wouldn't I? It's up the neighbor to stop it by locking the car or calling the cops. What I do is akin to the husband bringing home a loaner laptop from work and the wife using it for non-business purposes. Can it get the Husband fired? Possible. Will it? Improbable unless the company is gunning for him for other reasons and uses this as a reason. A few years ago, cable was only available in your house. Now cable companies allow you to use cable tv when you travel. What if your co-traveller uses your credentials to watch a show? Is that stealing? I get it that the cable company can, by adding a few words, make this illegal. Unless they figure out a way stop people from using it, I don't care. They will do nothing about it because the subscriber will just switch to another provider. Good times for the consumer. Bad times for cable companies that have been shafting the customer for years. |
| It's stealing. |
| Stealing. |
Actually its up to you to not be an entitled asshole and not use someone else's stuff. Do you have kids? do you brag to them about this wonderful practice you have of stealing things that don't belong to you because 'the man doesn't need the money'? |
Resorting to name-calling because you couldn't continue a logical discussion, you dumbfuck? Yeah I have kids. I tell them exactly what I do. oooh! Go report me to child services, you moron. Come back when you can hold a normal discussion without name calling. |
