I can't imagine a world where your kindergartener won't get in. Swami?

Swami thinks that you, personally, will be the ultimate test on whether LAMB intends to allow in order grades or add additional PK3 or PK4 children to reach their ceiling in the primary environment. So swami sits with you, thinking 65% no, 35% yes.

I think 100% in. For optics they can't make it sooooo obvious they have no real intention of backfilling much with those in K. They'll let a few in. And they are opening an additional pk3/pk4/k class.

But wouldn't the K siblings of new PK3ers get in before PP?

If there were any K siblings, their WL # would be #1. PP is #1 so there aren't any siblings.

But what if someone declines PK3 and they make an offer to a PK3 who has a sibling in K?

Lots of toddlers in Petworth. There are enough kids on Raymond's WL to fill an entire other classroom.

Then they would move PP down (provided that they don't already have sibling or staff preference). Not as likely to happen before PP gets in IMO.

Doesn't lamb have a policy that all siblings get in automatically?

Since when does LAMB care about optics?

When we lived inbounds 3 years ago, none of the parents on here would ever conceive of sending their kid there (despite the fact ECE is probably just fine). The times they are a changin (and the lottery gets more and more competitive).

How far will Bridges go on their preK 3 waitlist?

Swami, how far will Shining Stars move for PK4 this year? We are currently #84, down from #98.

Hoping to pull in 2nd grader as well with worse numbers

The current Lafayette 3rd grade is the smallest grade in the school, with only 4 sections. If they get enough IB enrollment to push them to 5 sections (like every other grade), then your chances are good.

Janney 3rd grade is small as well. Call after the end of the school year to find out more. You will not get called until the 1st week of school.

Or keep them small and stop the over crowding at Deal and Wilson
Swami is great

Swami appreciates that you are keeping hope alive... but nope.

You will stall in the late 50s, first week of school, move to the late 20s on count day.
