Do you miss your spouse when he or she travels?

No. But she's never away for 10. Five at the most and I don't miss her.

She's often just another living thing to think about, care for, clean up after.

I love eating a big lunch and nothing for dinner, wheras dh doesn't eat lunch and loves a huge dinner. I lose weight even when he's gone. I also get to binge shows I know dh would hate.

OP here, amazing I think we might be related I relate to every single word you wrote.

Me too!! But I also feel really lonely. I usually let one or both of my older kids (5 and 7) sleep in bed with me.

My work travel is usually 2-5 day stretches. Her girl weekends are about the same. I don't really miss her, but it makes me appreciate what she does for us. It's nice to have a change in routine.

This is exactly how many women feel about their men.

DH has been gone for over a year now and I no longer miss him and am actually dreading him coming back.

Not so much. I'd kind of like to miss him. I'm hoping he goes on another trip soon. Not nearly enough trips this year.
