I'll bite. I don't think we should kill progressives. I don't think we should kill anyone, other than in a death penalty case for heinous murders (multiple) - and then only in extreme circumstances.

I also feel Emory can spend its money however it sees fit. It can make decisions based on political ideology - as in their apparent belief that it is acceptable to take aid otherwise available for a deserving American (or legal immigrant) and divert it to illegal immigrant students - but that may prove costly. I am certain that many donors will pull back their funding. So, it's a double loss to the American kids - first, because money that otherwise could have gone to them goes elsewhere, and second, there will be less money coming in overall.

International students who are already admitted and have expired visas do not qualify. I'm going to ignore the poster who suggests murdering people because that person sounds either evil or insane. Why would I want to waste my time engaging with that?

I absolutely don't "oppose" Emory spending its $ however they want. It's their right. We are also free to mock them or argue that their policy is misguided.

Emory or any other private entity is free to do what it wishes with its money.

Donors are free to cut their contributions to entities that use their funds for causes they don't approve and if the government is funding Emory or any other entity that is providing aid to illegals then it should have the right to withhold such funding assuming it is legal to do so.

I'm guessing this is the funding for needy students? Some are government-sponsored (aka public money). Does this mean undocumented students are "gifted" funding? Or are they funded only by the big philanthropic donors?

In other words, while PPs are saying these are Emory's funds, not all funding is from private donors.

What comes of that money for kids who don't graduate?

It's lost forever.

Look at college graduation rates for students in the U. S. It's the gap all the way. Throwing money at undocumented students doesn't guarantee success. If it did, our local school systems would be thriving, and we would have closed the gap years ago.
