Exactly which politicians do you believe are paying attention to you?

None.

Anyone?

Have you seen the budget? Apparently many, many politicians are listening.

Exactly. The people who keep saying "the marches are stupid and didn't do anything" are completely out of touch.

I hope I can bring my kids this time and don't have to worry about these "Twerk for peace" idiots. Regardless of your sexual orientation, my kids and I do not need to see these scantly dressed people thrusting up against each other in public.

Just like Hillary and Chelsea.

LOL! Not sure where you were but it wasn't at the march.

I went to the Womens March, the Science March, the Climate March and several others and twerking really wasn't a thing at any of them.

Reminds me of the poster who yammered on and on about all of the women "wearing vaginas on their heads" - with that poster apparently so confused about anatomy that he/she thought vaginas have kitten ears sticking up from them.

Exactly

And keeping people motivated.

Not sure why some folks -aside from politicians on the receiving end- are so threatened by these marches. It's a foundation of our democracy!

What matters is getting people to vote and if a fraction of the effort to organize these marches went into directing voter turnout it pay off a whole lot more than these futile marches.

Yes, liberals want to take control of the senate and house but marching is not the answer to that goal.

What we need is real leadership in the Democratic party - and that is currently woefully lacking and absolutely nothing is being done to rectify the situation. The face of the party today is Pelosi, Schumer and to a lesser extent Perez and they are not exactly inspiring.

We also need a platform that addresses the needs of white working class voters - you know the group that some liberals view with such disdain. We lost the election because they abandoned the party. Biden was probably one of the few who understood the aspirations of these voters but he is too old to assume a leadership role.

There's no reason Democrats and Independents and moderate Republicans can't band together and do both!

The marches do embarrass the POTUS, so they have an impact on his presidency, taking him down a notch. Sure, he can brag about how great he is, but it's difficult to completely ignore tens of thousands of protesters marching right outside his residence.

But you are absolutely right, Democrats must take over the house and senate in 2018. That's the only sure way to get rid of Trump.

I disagree that the Democrats are doing nothing, but they are not doing enough to fight Trump either. They are ineffectual, and Schumer, Pelosi and maybe Perez too MUST GO. We need much more dynamic leadership in the Democratic party, but the entrenched aforementioned Democrats won't budge, so their younger, energetic Democratic colleagues languish.

I couldn't agree more that Democrats have ignored the blue-collar workers who feel abandoned by the Democratic party, by Hillary Clinton in particular. Her "deplorables" remark told them everything they needed to know about her, so they voted against her. With good reason.

I like Schiff -- he's impressed me. We also need more women in congress. I'm so tired of only looking up to males. But Elizabeth Warren is not the right person to lead the party. Who is?

Don't know much about him, but like what I know. Buttegieg.

Also, the fact that there is so much effort to describe them as ineffective and/or dangerous to dissuade participation tells me that they are working.

I agree. It is a still a free country. People should march for whatever they believe and whenever they want.

The pro-lifers come to march every year.

Don't expect a big turnout. After all, June 3 is also

National Chocolate Macaroon Day

National Cheer Coach Day

Chimborazo Day

and

Impersonate Authority Day

Nah, they weren't kitten ears in the vaginas but dust bunnies from lack of use.
