Miscarriage of PGS normal

The stat of 60% live birth from PGS is from transfer only. You have a 40% change of PGS embryo either not implanting or miscarriage. Once it’s a confirmed pregnancy (heartbeat at ~6.5 weeks), chance of live birth goes up to about 85% as there’s still a chance of miscarriage.

According to my clinic, a genetically-normal embryo can carry due to metabolic problems. He said this risk becomes higher along with the age of the mother because of increasing issues with mitochondria.

I am very sorry for your loss. You have every right to feel completely dismayed. PGS tested embryos don't always result in pregnancy or healthy pregnancies. It is cruel, especially after going thru IVF, but loss happens same as it does with healthy embryos in women not doing IVF. The good news is you have good quality embryos banked. When you feel ready, you will be able to try without having to do another cycle. Take time to heal. Thinking about you.
