SIL not telling me she's pregnant

You know what could happen to me? I could call my brother to tell him something, have him not be home, and mentally check it off in my head that I told him. Three weeks later I'd be surprised he was ignoring my news.

You and your mom sounds like real gems! SIL hates your mom, brother is spineless and afraid of his wife. They only told your mom so she'll buy them a bigger house? You don't have to wait for her to officially tell you. Maybe she assumed that your mom would tell you and is feeling pissy that you haven't bothered to congratulate her, yet.

At any rate, it's been a month. Unless she told your mom NOT to tell you, I would just let it slip that your mom mentioned it because she assumed - OF COURSE - that SIL would have told you about the good news, too.
