Yes and he knows and doesn't mind. He really doesn't care for fashion so I buy and pick out his outfits daily. He can do it but would rather i do it fir him. |
Being DHs stylist is one of the many hats I wear in this house. I also pick out his ties and shirts. I advise him when it's time to get a different hair cut and tell him when his facial hair needs to be changed up or trimmed up. I let him decide on the other manscaping issues tho.
I am the woman behind that well put together man. Hand off ladies! |
Considering all the micromanagement that seems to be going on. does this give me the right to grab any one of Her pair of shoes that haven't been worn in years and throw them out?
I edit my own clothes and throw then out when they are no longer serviceable. I gave up years ago caring how I look, or what other people think about me. I'm comfortable in my own skin and I'm not looking for validation from other people even my wife, she can make commits and I'll listen to her suggestions but the final decision is mine as to what I wear. |
My husband would be livid if I threw out anything of his. I swear he keeps an inventory of everything he owns. |
If you do it yourself its a non-issue but some of our husbands don't shop for themselves and have no interest. |
So rather than talk to you about it, when you're out one day, he should take that cute outfit you bought last fall that makes you look fat and toss it out so you don't wear it. After all, it doesn't look good on you anyways. And if you find out it's gone, you should thank him for avoiding you public embarrassment. Got it. |
A guy here. Yes, I have some very old or torn stuff and I know it. I don't throw stuff out because jeans with holes in the knees are great when I do honey-do items like painting or yard work. Old tee shirts are often sacrificed when I wash the cars after the winter; I can wash and toss without having to worry about washing it. When my kids were little and wanted to paint, we took one of my old worn tee shirts, put it over them like a dress and they could paint to their hearts delight without ruining their clothes. Washed and hung by the paint supplies to be used the next time. There are lots of uses for old clothes.
My wife will occasionally mention when it's time to retire something. I'll keep it in mind and put it aside for the right use. It's fine to bring something to his attention, but don't toss it. |
+1 except I fold and he does the washing and drying except I only edit socks and underwear. Actual clothes get a discussion |
I have never done this. |
My husband looks like a homeless person sometimes. |
When we first moved in together, my wife threw out my electric can opener because she didn't need it. Then a shirt or two disappeared, so I had to put my foot down. |
yes, but not often. I did toss the baggy acid wash too long jeans with ripped knees that he bought at the thrift store for 3 dollars. He never mentioned it. I have also bought him fantastic looking clothes, put in his closet, and he doesn't even realize they're new. He puts them on and goes on his way.. He is like my 7 year old in that way. |
He's probably just looking for his balls, and doesn't realize you have no intention of returning them. |
+1 Throwing away someone's clothes is extremely disrespectful |
