| ...hit reply too soon. i mentioned carderocl because homes are a little less than bannockburn. |
I think the neighborhood is overhyped. Also lots of airplane noise. |
What in the world? You can't hear the beltway at all. There's a lot of woodland in Bannockburn, so perhaps that's why. But I never heard any road noise whatsoever, save for the residential street right outside. The Beltway? Come on. |
The intersection of River and Goldsboro is two miles south of the beltway -- I assure we can not hear beltway traffic from there. If you are right off of River you might here some noise, but it is not a big deal at all. |
Um...I agree with PP. You can hear it. Maybe it depends on where you're located in the community. |
I cannot imagine where you would live in Bannockburn where you would hear noise from the beltway. That's just absurd. |
Not sure I agree about the 495 noise, but you definitely hear lots of plane noise. |

Beltway noise is absurd. I am almost equidistant between the DC border and 495. I am admittedly on the southern end of Bannockburn, but still folks a bit north of me are certainly not hearing the Beltway. |
| How is the diversity? Is everyone the same? |
+1 There is a poster that chimes into every real estate thread about ridiculous things that don't exist (that they want to exist). The only "noise" is from living next to someone like them! OP, it looks like a great neighborhood. Wish I knew about it sooner. |
Some people are very sensitive to noise, and you're in no position to question what they hear. |
Noticing that no beltway noise deniers have weighed in on the airplane noise. |
