| I pulled my 5th grader out for 2 days just for Disneyland. |
| Definitely |
| Yes. |
| yes, of course. I'd pull for longer than that! Doesn't hurt anything in the long run. |
| Absolutely! |
For this absolutely. For Disney no. My kid's school would let her do a presentation on the trip. |
|
Yes! My parents did this with us a few times in elementary and middle school. Same idea -- piggybacked around an existing break. No problem!
Just be respectful when telling the teacher. Acknowledge that it's not something you took lightly. And ask what you can do to help your child catch up on whatever he misses. But otherwise, HAVE FUN!!

OMG! No. Brainer. GO! ENJOY!!!
|
| Do not even hesitate about pulling her out of school. My own best memories are of the dream trips (similar to yours) that my family took when I was in school. Your 4th grader won't miss a beat but she will ALWAYS remember this trip. |
| Of couse!! And, I am a teacher. |
DO IT! |
| Go! Last year I pulled my 11th grader out of school for 4 days for a trip to London. Didn't affect his performance at all, and he learned a ton. |
| Of course! Travel before high school when grades actually matter. |
|
OP here.
Tickets bought. We're going! |
| Yes, jeez. Regularly, no? But to pretend that life is not flexible is crazy. |
