Straw poll: Mom's parents vs. Dad's parents

Mom's parents. I think it was a combination of things. My parents were divorced and my mom had more custody and my dad didn't really want to share me when he had me so we spent less time visiting his family. Also my paternal grandfather was a difficult guy and that impacted things. But I have a good relationship with my paternal grandmother now that I cultivated as an adult.

My mom's parents were like, so special though. The best. They were that kind of people though, IMO the platonic ideal of grandparents. I can't imagine them NOT having been close to any of their grandchildren regardless of circumstance. They had a special relationship with all 10 of us.
