Using beach towels as bath towels?

This. We've never distinguished. Whatever towel we have is what get used for the shower, the pool, the beach, cleaning up when you get drenched in a summer storm and come in dripping, etc. What I care about is whether it dries you off properly and doesn't feel thin and scratchy, not what it's called.

Is your house mainly closets?

Do you wash each towel after every use but only do the actual laundry a couple times a month? Otherwise I don't see how this is possible. We have about 8 towels for 3 people. We've never had a problem provisioning guests either.

I have been using bath sheets for decades. Not beach towels but bath sheets.

Unusual, sure, but who cares? A towel is a towel is a towel. Nothing strange about using a towel to dry off after a shower. Who cares what's printed on it?

Ha we do it all the time if we really need to do a load of towels and haven't gotten around to it yet. A towel is a towel.

Very comfortable, and guests love them.

Haha, do you have 60 of them like pp??

This is weird. Who cares. A towel is a towel.

I don't see what's strange about the 60 towels. We are a family 5 and we often have long term guests. We each have ten bath towels of our own, and the 4 of us who are women use two per shower - one hair, one body. Then we have separate towels for drying our hands and faces. Then plenty more for guests and about a dozen or so beach towels. I'd venture to say we have close to, if not at least, 100 towels in our house. None of this includes our dogs towels, either.

How big are your closets?

We have a huge linen closet plus each bathroom has cupboards where we keep 6-8.
We have 4 washrooms

That's only bath towels. If we include hand Towels it's over 100.

We use towels several times. I do laundry 3-4 times a week.
We have 4 bathrooms.

We have two towels. I wash them and then they go back on the rack. When they frey, we donate them to the animal shelter and buy two more.

I can't imagine having 60 towels. Like being buried alive.
