I have thick legs. I look like her in skinny jeans. I'm thin on top and not short. The slight flare of a bootleg elongates my legs. And yes. I only wear boots or wedges or chunky heeled sandals. No stilettos (some women can pull that off-but not all, can look trampy) I don't wear sneakers with any jeans and I have a few baby flare jeans that actually look good with flats or sandals. But I like to add height if I can. |
Please no |
They do! And those are flares, not bootcut. PS- Not an LA wanna be- from NY. And if magazines say they are in style- post a link. Woman's World doesn't count... |
Can someone post a picture of flares versus boot it. I thought flares were much more exaggerated. These pictures above are what I think of bootcut. |
From Vogue: More curve-hugging than a flare but longer and leaner than a straight-leg, it nails the tricky middle ground between familiar and au courant. “The boot-cut is back!” says Kelly Connor, Vogue.com’s resident denim expert. “They’re flattering, lengthening, and perfect for those who aren’t so into the full, high-rise flares we’ve been seeing everywhere.”..... .......Either way, there’s no denying the thigh-slimming, rear-lifting powers of a fitted, dark-rinse, mid- or high-rise jean that kicks out just below the knee. The sharp, sleek silhouette will quickly upgrade the chunky sweaters, lace blouses, and anything else you’re buying this fall—not to mention the obvious choice: a great pair of boots. |
