Has anyone else started calling out Facebook friends who support Trump?

OP, I hear you. And I'm in the same exact boat.

Also, those who avoid speaking of politics are cowards. If you aren't willlng to stand up on FB you won't stand up anywhere.

(Their posts are insane and ridiculous.)

+1,000 I won't argue, but will state my opinion.

A lot of my very vocal Trump supporter friends are also very vocal Christian friends.

Their posts basically go:

Trump Jesus Trump Jesus My kid's halloween costume Trump Jesus

And something about that just really got to me, I guess.

I figure if they are posting something they don't mind the discussion.

With 'friends' like you, who needs enemies.
You're not a friend, just another nasty, judgemental person with an opinion.

I am, indeed, a very NASTY woman, pp. I have so, so many opinions! From my own little feeble lady mind!

Similar to your feeble lady parts?

COme on closed minded liberals....

No, for repeating lies. It isn't closed minded to call out lies, it's integrity.

But if you support Trump, you clearly don't value intrgrity.

Hillary is a shady bitch-a criminal of the worst kind. I often ignore pro-Hillary posts, even though they piss me off as I have found that you cannot convince a liberal to see past their nose or CNN, MSNBC news feeds. Let them keep their rose colored glasses on until the ship sinks. They are "irredeemable"!

I have a circle of friends on a small discussion forum. We worked together, donated money and organized an event on the mall a few years ago. Afterwards most still hang out on there for fun and camaraderie.

The last few months, they were cursing one another on an election thread. I do not know where the blind hatred come from. This election is breaking up friendship for sure.

You're proving OP's point quite nicely.

One of OP's friends!

There really is nothing that can be shown to people like this PP; there is no room for even a little sunshine to disinfect what they have caught.

I don't call out anyone for supporting someone. I do sometimes comment on things that are clearly false. I've seen a terrible photoshop job that makes a younger Obama look like a black panther. I also called out the person who posted a picture of Hillary posing with a Saudi and the a caption that said something along the lines of "share if you think foreign campaign donations should be illegal." They are already illegal. I also see tons of posts about the pledge of allegiance and prayer need to be permitted in school.

I call out my super liberal friends when they post bullshit too.

Show them the FBI vault.

You can't argue with pure facts.

I've stopped following any friends who feel this way. I never post anything political on FB. It's not because I'm embarrassed that I support Trump. I use FB to look at cute Halloween costumes and get updates about my child's school and activities. The election is everywhere and my job is stressful. I want to keep FB a stress free happy place where I can see your baby pics, vacation photos and holiday recipes.

I haven't I friended anyone, but I have lost respect for the Trump supporters I know. I don't need to start anything on FB but I know who they are and I won't ever feel quite the same about them. I'd feel the same way if I overheard them using bigoted or misogynistic speech. It makes me sad.
