That is absurd. I've had a checking account for about 30 years now and have never used bank checks once the initial free order ran out. First, banks overcharge for them; second, their designs are boring.
I don't even think my spouse has checks anymore. For some reason, they're still en vogue for kid-related things, but, were it not for the kids and the $8.95 convenience fee to pay sewer & water online, we'd not have them at all.
