Why are Mormons less tolerant of hypocrisy than Southern Baptists?

Raised Southern Baptist-- now liberal Presbyterian. Fundamentalist southern baptists are still very sexist. But mostly the support for Trump is due to racism and resentment of women, racial minorities, and gays and lesbians.

The evangelical church does not preach politics or tell their members who to vote for.
Mormonism is legalistic and church has a lot of authority

I was raised Southern Baptist and was part of that organization until I was about 26. I am 50, a minister in another Christian denomination. And like many, consider the Southern Baptist church a hate group. It is one of the few churches that I would not allow my kids to attend when invited.
