I think you've gotten some good advice and surprisingly for DCUM no one really hammering you unnecessarily. Your oldest can definitely be more independent in his own self care and take of certain things around the house. For example, teach him how to do laundry if you haven't already. He's also old enough to baby sit the youngest. When you get home, find something special for just you and your "Jan Brady" DD to do together. Just the two of you. Change takes time; it helps to start on a good note. GL. |
| My oldest is 7 and we spend so much time with him - reading, homework, playing tennis, riding bikes, etc. Kids this age need a lot of attention. You should spend more quality time with her. I would think your 12yo does not require so much of your attention but your daughter clearly does. It sounds like she is neglected. |
