Movies you mostly hate

Love Actually was abominable. I too am amazed at the actors who agreed to signal onto that turd.

Always watch it when it's on. Oh wait, is this thread about bad movies we can't help but watch??

I LOVE Love, Actually!!!

I despise Shakespeare In Love (even more because it beat out Saving Private Ryan for Best Picture that year, which was a travesty).

I also loathe, and this will be unpopular, Princess Bride. So, so dumb.

Gwenyth Paltrow should be publicly flogged for what she has done to the film industry and the American public.

Hear hear!

It reeked most vile.

But The Long Kiss Goodnight, in all its formulaic cheesiness, remains one of my favorite films.

OMG -- I loved that movie! I actually rented it (possibly on VHS?) when a good friend was coming over for girls night based on nothing but the fact that Samuel L Jackson was in it. LOVED LOVED LOVED it. (okay, maybe part of that was the wine).

We still quote it all the time when we're emailing. "So I stole a role of toilet paper from work because I'm too lazy to go to the store tonight."

"Chefs do that."

That was the worst movie based on the worst book ever written. I never need to see Clint Eastwood naked, and the whole idea that this woman's entire life was defined by 4 days with a passing photographer is just asinine.

Seriously? No, not they're not (good). There is some seriously bad acting in those movies (Patterson and Stewart are horrible actors) and there is about 15 minutes of good acting in each of the first two movies. The main two actors sense of timing is atrociously bad. If you want to see just how bad they are and make them tolerable to watch, you need to watch them with RiffTrax: http://www.rifftrax.com/twilight/ for a sample.

Warner Herzog disagrees with you: http://theplaylist.net/werner-herzog-talks-his-1979-classic-nosferatu-the-vampyre-respect-for-twilight-his-mad-idea-for-a-childrens-book-20140517/

To call Kristen Stewart an actress is to insult every person who has ever attempted to act.

Seems not many paid attention to your full post OP. I'll try so here goes:

Closer - I really dislike the movie and most of the characters/acting - especially Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman - but I do enjoy Clive Owen's performance and watch for him.
Pieces of April - another one where the characters are insufferable, I find the plot trite and full of clichés too, but the mom is a great character and I've watched more than once for her.
Black Swan - another Natalie Portman movie, I find every actor/character except her interesting (Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassell, Barbara Hershey) , unfortunately Natalie dominates most of the scenes, go figure!

I also HATED that movie- and I love romcoms!

Thirded. I detest that movie, even though I love many of the actors in it.

I know! I love so many of the actors/actresses in that movie! I can't believe they read the script and signed on.

+ yet another who hates it.

I also hate Titanic. What a stupid script and over-the-top acting. Such wasted potential for all the great special effects.

+1. I never could understand how that was a hit.

Well, they're saying she's a lock for an Oscar nom this year. You're behind the times.

I have never been able to sit through Love Actually all the way through and I cringe when I am flipping channels around Christmas and there it is, and I'm in a dilemna: give it another chance like a bad boyfriend or go elsewhere (which is probably one of the plots of the stupid movie)?
