My daughter has beautiful long curly blonde hair that she wears with headbands or in braids or ponytails, but I can't believe the catty remarks being made in this thread about bobs and pixies etc.

Braids, pony tail, or just hanging lose (I do worry about live tho!). One of my kids likes to use headbands and fun hair clips, the other doesn't.

Maybe her daughter has ugly features and has to hide them with long hair. Pretty, delicate features don't need a lot of hair. I see so many pretty girls who would look so much better if they cut their mop of hair. Unfortunately, in many cultures long hair is a requirement for femininity. Thank the Lord I have a mind of my own and don't feel the need to act like a sheep and follow the crowd based on other people's idea of what's acceptable for women and girls. Pixie PP here. DD loves it. There were a couple of kids telling her she had boy hair, but she didn't seem too bothered by it. She has a very girly face, and is more concerned about comfort and convenience than looks. She is also strong willed and determined, and doesn't put much stake into what others think (yet). Her older sister is different, cares about what people say and would never get a pixie!

My girls have long hair. I think those bobs are precious! My girls have curly hair, so longer is easier.
