| Dw is an RN. I'm very proud of her. This is her second career and she busted ass through school and ended up getting a very competitive job. She's so happy and her anxiety has drastcally decreased. |
Why? Sounds fascinating, and money isn't particularly important. |
How crap is crap? |
| My wife is a think-tank director. Couldn't be happier for her. |
That and the driving school. Deputy Sheriff is a position of power and could require subordinates to issue more tickets... prompting attendance at the driving school. |
| I love these threads. DCUM is all "HHI of 750k w fully funded 529s at age 41!" until you realize that 99% of the DWs on here are SAHMs married to cops. Not that being a police office is bad thing at all. I just think it speaks volumes to the manufactured salaries that get spewed incessantly on this forum. |
I don't think you can assume from these threads that the DWs are SAHMs. Who is to say they aren't professionals too who just happen to be on here answering the question asked about what their spouse does? The wife may still tip them over the high HHI category. These are the kind of assumptions that need to be changed. |

Good thing the guy is retiring in a year. The whole setup is fishy.

Are you assuming that the women answering don't work? |
They are all attorneys married to cops or investigators! My DH is attorney, I am a PI

DH is a construction contractor, he provides a great life for everyone except himself; he has worked 6 days a week for nearly 22 years.
But, if it rains or snows he goes in late, comes home early and when we want private time he can come home for "siesta". He can do whatever he wants whenever he wants but he is the hardest working man I've ever known. His reviews and work are gorgeous and I couldn't be prouder of him. |
| Cloud technology sales to the military. I'm a SAHM |
My partner and I are in the same field. I think it is one of the reasons why we get along so well. I can anticipate his stressful times of the year and amp up the bjs

My husband is an editor, I'm a retired librarian.
I love his profession! He always has interesting things to discuss and is articulate and brilliant, if I do say so myself! |
