Super Why!

NP, and agree Caillou is the absolute worst.

Distant runners up
the aforementioned Dora the Explorer, and whatever the Diego spinoff is called
Blaze and the Monster Machines
Max and Ruby
Wonder Pets
Barney

Wonder Pets is great! Agree with the rest of your choices.

On the other hand, I would gladly watch Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom anytime.

I read somewhere Max has autism...which explains his limited speech and Ruby overcompensating by explaining everything.

The original Dora. Why does she need map? Who sends her out in world as kid all alone? And what's up with swiper? Is there a point? Never got it

Updated show for older kids is so much better

Dora was actually a 'sprite' from a video game. It was supposed to mimic an interactive game (at the time these were CD-ROM based computer games, where you would click on a map to get bearing, collect points, and have 1st person view). Which is why dora talks to viewer, and the 'do you see game' has a cursor and a ding. The map idea was to click on that map and get bearing, and honestly getting kids interested in how to read a map seems like a good skill.

The Dora And Friends map app signals the end of civilization, though the map song was insufferable.

This is a entertaining parody. http://www.collegehumor.com/video/6883763/dora-the-explorer-and-the-destiny-medallion-full-series

The orignal Dora, so aggressively loud and boring, versus creepy, sugary, bad-music Barney. It's a tie for me.

I love Caillou, because it's so freaky. Even years after the kids outgrew it, we sometimes watch an episode and laugh at how bizarre the characters are. We've created background stories for each character to explain the outlandish world they live in.

We know why every surface, down to the toilet handle and the stove knobs, is painted a different crazy color, and why Mr. Hinkle is always lurking behind the hedge.

Luckily I haven't been subjected to most of these. Worst for me is Super Why and Blues Clues. Steve is the worst and then of course his replacement, Joe

I actually live Wonder Pets. I think it's incredible that someone got there show they dreamed up while high greenlit.

Whoever came up with Max and Ruby deserves to be drug out into the street and shot.

Shooting is too good for whoever came up with Caillou.

Wonder Pets had great music. How could it not, with Bobby Lopez involved?

WHAT!??!!

Super Why and Blues Clues are shows I don't mind having on as background noise even when the kids aren't around. I secretly love the dorky Blues Clues songs: "Here's the mail, it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes I want to wail: MAAAAAIIIILLLLLLLLL!" hahahhahahahaha

And now that's in my head. Hate.

I miss my kids watching these shows now. But I have to agree that Dora, Barney and Calliou were the worst of all.

I loved Wonder Pets and Max and Ruby, Peppa Pig etc.

Telletubbies I could definitely live without. Disturbing.

Did any of you see In The Night Garden? By the same creators, but better (still weird though).

I heard so many bad things about calloui that I made it a point to never once put in on for my now 4 year old. She may not even know its exists. If people want a decent show, I have been pleased with Tumbleleaf on Amazon. Nice animation, no obnoxious sounds.

Laughing reading this because I remember Dora from when my college girlfriend babysat a kid - she'd bring him to my house to watch Nick Jr.

Now my 3 year old has discovered it and if we have to watch the Yellow Valley episode one more time I'm going to lose it.
