Barney is pretty bad too.

Oh, I'd watch Sofia on my own. Tim Gunn!

I sort of liked that show - it was kind of trippy and sooooo odd at times it kept me watching when the kids were really little.

I accidentally saw part of an episode when I was 15 or so, while skipping through channels to find another show. I found it highly disturbing. Why had the sun eaten the Gerber baby's face? Why did everyone live in post-nuclear apocalyptic bunkers built into the ground? Why did all the characters look like alien invaders in hazmat suits? How were young children not terrified by this? Never again.

My DD is 19 and the mention of these shows so many years later only brings happy nostalgia. It may be the passage of time, but I don't recall them as being all that terrible. Rugrats and Sponge Bob, on the other hand, I will never like.

You do know these shows were not created for us, right? LOL

BArney, God I hated it

The original Dora. Why does she need map? Who sends her out in world as kid all alone? And what's up with swiper? Is there a point? Never got it

Updated show for older kids is so much better

Distant runners up
the aforementioned Dora the Explorer, and whatever the Diego spinoff is called
Blaze and the Monster Machines
Max and Ruby
Wonder Pets
Barney

I actually live Wonder Pets. I think it's incredible that someone got there show they dreamed up while high greenlit.

Whoever came up with Max and Ruby deserves to be drug out into the street and shot.

Shooting is too good for whoever came up with Caillou.

Fully agree on max and ruby. WTF? She's insufferable.

Came here to say Caillou. Glad a lot of people agree.

Barney, I think it's ok for young kids. But I cannot handle the child actors on the show. Cannot handle how much they smile and act extremely engaged. And stand around awkwardly. And wear 90s unironic norm core. Even the newer episodes.
Dora. I finally had to tell my 4 yo that I dislike it. We had been non-watchers for a couple of years now but it's like she wants the thing I hate... I just came out and told her it gives me a headache.
Fireman Sam. Ugghhhhhhhh. If you are ever violently sick and desperate for the tv to babysit your kid, I mean this one is so ultra annoying that it will work! It's that annoying.

We had to ban Caillou. DD turned into a whiny monster after watching that show.

Miffy, the British version. Try getting the song out of your head after hearing it ten times.

I forgot about Fireman Sam! That one is pretty bad.
