| I lost mine too this week, Op and this thread is giving me some hope. He was lost in Kensington Estates, MD and is black/tan medium to long hair maine coon. |
| I'm 20:39 and we just found ours after two hours of searching, calling his name etc. He was in the yard next door. I think for indoor cats, they do tend to hunker down close by |

I'm the OP and wanted to provide an update. Our kitty came home late last night!!!

Congrats, op!
I came here to say my cousin's indoor cat came back SIX WEEKS later!! |
|
We lost our indoor Brooklyn cat for a week. Put out food every day, called his name. Put up signs, etc. A neighbor told me to look for him at dusk. I did that and I actually saw him in the vacant lot next to our apartment building. It turned out he had been cowering behind our building between two layers of cyclone fence. So I echo sentiments: they stay close to home.
Glad your cat came back, op! We have a five month old kitten now who is obsessed with going outside. We don't let him, but I'm pretty sure it is just a matter of time. |
| So glad he's back OP!! A family member of mine lost their cat after they moved once (they didn't keep him in for very long so he could learn where home was). A neighbor told them about a cat fitting the description 20 MONTHS later, and it was their cat. He had some health problems after that, but he never went near the outside doors again. |
Wow! OP here again. Love all the happy endings! |
