Potomac School Girls' Lacrosse Program - is it improving under Bordley?

As the parent of a daughter who was an outstanding lax player in middle school but got hurt, I read this with incredible fascination. The most important thing about college is to get your child into a college that's going to be a good match for them whether they play a sport or not. Because sports can be over in the blink of an eye.

Holton is building a great team that's getting lots of recognition - freshman commit to Harvard and sophomore commit to Stanford in addition to a few junior commits and other strong players.

How does one "commit" to Harvard with one semester of high school grades under your belt?

It happens -

+1 I am a person with some knowledge of the situation. My daughter was recruited to play at a highly competitive Ivy. Of her class of 7 recruits, she was one of only two left on the active roster of the squad by senior year. The girls who had fallen away during the years due to injury or lack of interest were by and large able to replace athletics with other activities of interest or intense focus on academics. While others seemed lost in perpetual rehab, unable to find their footing away from sports.

You seem easily confused. The point I was making is that Holton has a great team this year and beating them is no easy feat so Potomac must be decent. Hope that helps you!

Potomac has a pretty good team this year. Not good enough to be at the top tier, but an excellent season by their standards.

But they graduate 2 seniors that do almost everything for them, so they will be back to the bottom next year.

No, one of the top players is a sophomore, and UVA committ.

Potomac also had a freshman in the goal for her first outing with the Varsity lacrosse team since a concussion in basketball earlier this year. She looked good.

Just read through this thread; the title caught my eye. I found some aspects of it sketchy - like how the opening post reads like a brag sheet for Bordley, and how the time stamps are minutes apart. Then I noticed the original post date was 4/20 and envisioned some moms hanging out together after morning drop-off, smoking some weed and posting these comments until they had to leave for afternoon pick-up. LOL! That vision made this whole thread very entertaining. Thanks ladies!...Or maybe it was posted by Bordley. I can't decide...
