David Trone keeps saying he's "always fought for the underdog." wtf?

Apparently, his extra 2.5 million have gone to more illegally placed campaign signs in mid MoCo-- I just reported a bunch today that are on the public right of way.

Shame on him.

What is the difference between him and Matthews on this point?

They're all purchased. Just a question of who they're purchased by.

To think otherwise would be naive.

Nope. Some are actually earned, as they should be.

I don't know if I would put Matthews in that category. What has she done for actual real people? Who are her donors? At least we know where Trone's money is coming from.

And most importantly, how is it that 12 months ago she is planning the public relations strategy to move the 4th largest employer out of the district that she is now running for? What commitments is she making to her constituents, not her employer, to keep Marriott in MoCo and the state of MD? And if she is able to help broker a deal, can we trust that it will also be fair to taxpayers and not a massive giveaway?

All of a sudden her message point is: I'm a woman! Vote for me! I'm a Mom! Vote for me!
I like Jamie Raskin. Met him when he was first running for state senate. Really great guy, gets things done.

How much of Trone's ill-gained alcohol profits
(by shutting out mom and shops across twenty-one states)
has he tossed into the rink?

Over 13 Million Dollars???
His desperation is unprecedented US History for such a race.

It's obscene.

Please, please, please let's not elect Dacid Trone and send a message that our congressional rep is for sale.

Kathleen Matthews is not much better. Like Trone, she seems to think that raising and spending an obscene amount of money on advertising is a perfectly acceptable substitute for actual experience and an actual record of accomplishment.

I think the original intent for the House was to have smart citizens serve in Washington for a term or two and then get back to their lives. Trone and Matthews fit this model. What we have ended up with are career politicians that go to Washington and never leave, and in fact become creatures of Washington and stop living in their home districts. I don't think Trone or Matthews intend to spend 20 years in the House. I kind of like that.

Neither Trond nor Matthews are qualified to be in Congress.
