David Trone keeps saying he's "always fought for the underdog." wtf?

There are certainly a lot of Trone haters on here, and that's fine - don't vote for him. But don't confuse politicians that spend other people's money with entepreneurs that spend their own money and take real, progressive stands and risks in their own lives and businesses. Many on here are happy to blabber on about $15 minimum wage and unions while they have some poor immigrants clean their houses, cut their lawns and care for their children for the lowest wage possible. Maybe Trone's ads are BS and maybe not, but I like the guy and think he is genuine.

That was laughable, especially since he'd been pressed on this issue at an event the previous day. Neither he nor his staff had the sense to prep for further questions on the topic. His brother must be the brains behind the family biz.

Yeah, David's the bull-shitting marketing guy who can sell you anything. Well, almost.

The above assessment of David Trone is mine, based on everything I've learned about him. Any vote for David Trone is a vote for the alcohol lobby. He's a pit bull when it comes to his own business interests, and that's all that ever matters with him.

Just google:

"David Trone" "lobby"

Underdog, my a**.

By hiring people who might have trouble finding jobs elsewhere. By paying for your employees to take GED courses and better themselves. By hiring people who have been convicted of crimes and served their time.

+100

Oh snap.

They're all purchased. Just a question of who they're purchased by.

To think otherwise would be naive.

Nope. Some are actually earned, as they should be.

As the child of immigrants, I would caution you about the assumptions you're making about other posters. As far as Trone, maybe he's genuine. He's also completely unqualified.

I'm the daughter of an immigrant parent and a professional nanny. I currently earn $30/hr.

....Somehow I doubt Trone is paying his "underdogs" even half that.

Lol at your entire post. No need to "caution me" about hypocrisy, I've seen it too many times. The fact that you may be an immigrant is irrelevant, I may be one as well. I get that you are a Trone hater, but LOL at him being "completely unqualified". I am getting a sense he will probably win if you, and the other haters, are getting this desperate.

I don't know if I would put Matthews in that category. What has she done for actual real people? Who are her donors? At least we know where Trone's money is coming from.

And most importantly, how is it that 12 months ago she is planning the public relations strategy to move the 4th largest employer out of the district that she is now running for? What commitments is she making to her constituents, not her employer, to keep Marriott in MoCo and the state of MD? And if she is able to help broker a deal, can we trust that it will also be fair to taxpayers and not a massive giveaway?

Agreed. Neither Trone nor Matthews should be trusted.

Why does he need to spend yet another 2.5 million dollars to try to make people vote for him? If he was such a good guy, he would instead be putting his billions towards the underdogs instead of his nonstop political advertising. Enough already.

By carrying small and independent craft beers, in the grand fight against Anheuser-Busch-Interbev?

What are your thoughts on the three tier system? On the ABI-SABMiller merger?

That'd be a new thread.
